Kincardine Scottish Festival & Highland Games

“Pants Optional- Kilts Optimal”

This July, treat yourself and your family to a weekend that will be fondly remembered for many years to come.

Come to Ontario’s Scottish Destination, Kincardine, Ontario for the premier Scottish event of the year; the 17th annual Kincardine Scottish Festival and Highland Games, July 1, 2 & 3, 2016. Friday, July 1 will be particularly awesome with fireworks over the harbour.

Thrill to the spectacle of 30 Pipe Bands, 160 Highland Dancers, and feats of strength and skill in traditional Highland sports. There will be first class musical entertainment – something for all tastes and ages, featuring Ashley MacIsaac, Sloan, Madison Violet, Albannach straight from Scotland, Arvel Bird the Celtic Indian, the Mudmen, Bessie and the Zinc Buckets from England, and local favourites Thogs, Pleats, Ballaghs, Kincardine Community Singers, and the Kincardine Scottish Fiddle Orchestra. Find out about your heritage on Clan Avenue, join the Clan Parade, and get bragging rights that you’ve marched with the Kincardine Scottish – a 108-year old Pipe Band. Let the kids have fun with Andrea Zimmer’s special children’s activities. Sunday is Family Day and the wee Heeland Coos (Highland Cows), Clydesdale Horses, and more will be here. Shop our Scottish themed vendors for a special souvenir of the weekend, and the food! All of this in historic Victoria Park, steeped in tradition with its mature shade trees, heritage fountain and view of world famous Lake Huron sunsets.

Don’t miss this one! Come to Kincardine, "where you are a stranger only once".
