Rainbow Lodge is a serene, friendly cottage to spend a day, weekend or vacation.
The lodge is 2000 square feet in size and has two bedrooms, full kitchen, barbecue, beautiful fireplace and large dining area. It is beautifully furnished with rustic woodwork, striking decor and modern amenities for a comfortable stay. Smaller cabins are also available. The lodge provides a retreat for the canoeist, kayaker, artist, fisherman, hiker, executive group or simply anyone seeking peace and tranquility. The breathtaking view of Northern Ontario, full of old growth forest, teems with wildlife as diverse as the country it inhabits. A hiking trail leads through the area. Guests can relax on the spacious waterfront deck or fish for pike, bass, walleye, perch, and trout in the bay. Boat docking is available for guests. Rainbow Lodge can arrange fishing guides for a fee.
Other activities in the local area include: Golfing, Hiking, Horseback Riding, Aboriginal Cultural Experiences and Picturesque Boat Tours. Canoes and Kayaks are also available for rent through Ojibway Canoe & Wilderness Adventures.
CULTURAL EXPERIENCE: Rainbow Lodge, a building of historical and traditional value, hosts events in a traditional setting. It is situated within view of the sacred area known to the Ojibwe people as “Dreamer’s Rock” where young people traditionally fasted and received their spiritual visions. Guided tours of this very sacred site must be arranged by obtaining permission at the Whitefish River First Nation Band Office during business hours. Rainbow Lodge is an alcohol and smoke free facility.
